  • 7 Inch Lathe Cut Mono
    Record/Vinyl + Digital Album

**THIS IS NOT A STEREO VINYL** -- In fact it's not even technically vinyl

Please note that this is a lathe cut mono 7 inch record on plexiglass, that was made one-at-a-time, in real-time, by a real person, using an experimental process and 70 year old machines. It is not a pressed record and will have more surface noise and distortion in some frequencies. The volume is also substantially less loud than a standard 7 inch… so you’ll need to crank it when listening.

It’s also totally rad, and hand numbered on the inside cover - limited edition of 20. This record only has 4 songs on it, but you also get a digital download of the full EP.

Includes unlimited streaming of Bent Spent Bridge via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.

Core Values 01:58
You preach core values, yeah the ones you just made up But I see through it, I think I've had enough You've made it very clear, that this ain't no career I think I'm done with it, you can't fire me because I quit (woahs) A life coach can't fix you, or fix this stupid place Can't change who I am, can't change your ugly face Everyone around you thinks that you're the shit I know exactly who you are, can't fire me because I quit (woahs) Boss gets a dollar, I get a dime How much is it worth to waste my time From now on I promise I'll never call in sick Oh and one more thing, fuck this place I quit

I don't know, what you're thinking But I'm pretty sure that you've been drinking I don't know, what you're after But I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter Ship has sailed, yeah it's sinking Maybe we just call it even I bet you're gonna miss me More than those cigarettes and whiskey More than the writing on the wall More than you did the time before I bet you're gonna miss me… miss me More than those cigarettes and whiskey I don’t know, what you're doing How much shit ya gonna ruin I don’t know, what the cost is Write it off, cause we lost it Ship has sailed, yeah it's sinking Maybe we just call it even

Live your life on the straight and narrow Like an arrow, like an arrow Never cared for the sidelined freak shows What do they know, what do they know   You never found where you fit in You'll be anything but one of them. Live your life on the straight and narrow Like an arrow, like an arrow, like an arrow   But you're not what you wanna be You phone it in like an absentee Like everything that you don't wanna be Like an arrow, like an arrow Wasted on the routine progress takes a backseat And now every time you look at me it's Like an arrow, like an arrow   Pull back and release the sorrow Like an arrow, like an arrow it's a tough pill to swallow What do they know, what do they know   Never found where you fit in You'll be anything but one of them. Live your life on the straight and narrow Like an arrow, like an arrow, like an arrow   Maybe your next shot will make it obvious Maybe your next shot will make us all behave, we should already know Maybe you'll decide what's best for all of us. Maybe double down on your mistakes   Wasted on the routine While we take a backseat And now every time you look at me it's Like an arrow, like an arrow   Wrapped up in a cliché Unable to convey Exactly what you want to say to me….so... Like an arrow, like an arrow

Kid you've got a couple things to learn You better calculate your numbers, there's mistakes at every turn You're not looking for advice, you're not looking to think twice Gotta role the dice to see what's in em' Kid they say you ask to many questions You better figure out which side, greater or less than You wanna be on in the end Careful how you pick your friends They can only drag you down if you let em' They can only pick you up if you let em' Kid they say you ask too many questions Be careful who's advice you make a lesson They can only pick you up if you let em' They can only drag you down if you let em' They can only pick you up if you let em'

Joneses 02:04
They say, you can have anything Want anything Take anything That said, probably better off that you don't They say, you can be anyone Pick anyone Yeah anyone That said, probably better off on your own Better check what you've been sold The full price is never shown What's the tax on a temporary fix? Yeah I don’t know, I don’t know They say, you can go anywhere See anywhere Be anywhere That said, probably better off staying home. They say, you can have the right friends Buy the right friends Know the right friends That said, probably never felt so alone Better check what you've been sold The full price is never shown What's the tax on a temporary fix Yeah I don’t know, I don’t know So you take what ya get, And you reap what you sow With the bills piled high Looks like you're running the show So it's debt after debt Yeah you're digging a hole Keeping up with the Joneses That's the way that it goes Yeah that's the way it goes

Cynicool 02:06
How did you get this way How'd you become such a cynic? Bitter and jealous of everyone else But to proud to admit it. When the other shoe finally drops I'm sure you'll be the one standing on top Of a list that rates everyone else On a scale up to ten You'll be quietly tallying up All the losses and wins Rehashing memories stuck on replay I sure hope I never end up that way (Chorus) Cause I don't want, to hear what ya gotta say You don't want, to leave it unsaid We don’t want to be another part of this Stupid conversation again. Taking the low road, Cause you don’t like to climb Taking the short cut Cause you're always behind Taking the debt that you'll never repay I sure hope I never end up that way. And you say It's always someone elses fault (all we ever hear you say) But we're not listening at all.

about

We started recording Bent Spent Bridge in late 2019 / early 2020, and thanks to a global pandemic it took us over 2 years to finally wrap it up. The original idea was to make this a 10-song release instead of just 6, but the other 4 songs were only partially written in 2019, and to be honest... none of us really remembered them after such a long break.…which is a total bummer because they no doubt slayed hard. Anyway, that's the story of how our 10 song LP turned into a 6 song EP. It certainly feels nice to finally call it done though, and to make it available to you, our generous, patient, intelligent, attractive, discerning fanbase. Thanks for all the continued support, we hope you dig the tunes.
